VyxWorks ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data CarPin ("the Service") processes, how we process it, and the rights you can exercise.

Summary. CarPin has no account or sign-up. Parking locations and photos are stored only on your device and never sent to our servers. Ads are served by Google Mobile Ads SDK, which may process an advertising identifier (IDFA).

1. Personal data we process

We process only the minimum data needed to operate the Service.

1.5 Data we do not collect

We do not collect or transmit the following:

  • Name, email, phone number, or any account information (there is no sign-up)
  • Contacts, address book, or call logs
  • Health, fitness, or biometric data
  • Continuous background location (only geofence enter/exit events are handled)
  • Behavioral analytics (no Firebase Analytics or similar SDKs)

2. Purposes of processing

  1. Save and show your parking spot — store location and photos on-device so you can find your way back.
  2. Favorite-place alerts — trigger on-device geofence notifications when you enter or leave your saved places.
  3. Ads — show ads and measure ad performance to keep the app free (Google Mobile Ads SDK).
  4. In-app purchase — restore and reconcile one-time purchases of themes and icons (Apple StoreKit 2).

3. Retention and deletion

3.1 Local data

  • Parking entries, favorites, and photos remain on your device until you delete them in-app or uninstall the app.
  • Auto-delete for photos: choose 1 day, 7 days, 30 days, or never in app settings.
  • Uninstalling the app immediately removes all local data.

3.2 Third-party data

  • Retention of the advertising identifier processed by Google Mobile Ads SDK follows Google's policies.
  • Apple receipt data is retained per Apple's policies.

4. Third parties and processors

We do not sell your personal data. The following processors are used to operate the Service.

5. Your rights

You can exercise the following rights at any time.

  • Access, correct, delete — edit or remove items directly inside the app.
  • Revoke permissions — in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security, revoke Location, Photos, or Camera access; the related features will stop working.
  • Uninstall — removing the app deletes all local data.
  • Reset advertising identifier — disable per-app tracking in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

6. Tracking (ATT · IDFA)

CarPin does not use cookies. On first launch, iOS shows an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) system prompt.

  • Allow — the IDFA is shared with Google Mobile Ads SDK for personalized ads and measurement.
  • Deny — the IDFA is not shared and only non-personalized ads are served.

Users in the EU, EEA, and UK also see a Google UMP (User Messaging Platform) consent form on first launch.

To disable tracking system-wide: iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking > turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track".

7. Children's privacy

CarPin is not directed to children under 13 (U.S. COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from such users; if we learn we have, we will delete it promptly. Where local law requires a higher minimum age, that age applies.

8. International transfers

The advertising identifier and related data processed by Google Mobile Ads SDK may be transferred to and stored on Google's servers outside your country, including the United States. Apple receipt data is processed by Apple on its global infrastructure. Transfers rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and policies of Google and Apple.

9. EU/EEA users (GDPR)

  • Legal bases — performance of the service (Article 6(1)(b)) and consent (6(1)(a) for advertising tracking).
  • Rights — access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, objection, and withdrawal of consent.
  • Consent management — update your choices in the Google UMP form at any time; revoke ATT in iOS Settings.
  • Transfers — see section 8.
  • Supervisory authority — you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

10. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

  • We do not sell personal information for monetary value.
  • Sharing the IDFA for advertising can be opted out by denying ATT or by disabling tracking in iOS Settings.
  • To access, delete, or correct your data, email support@vyxworks.com.
  • You will not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights.

11. Korea PIPA notice

As required by the Korean Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA):

12. Security

  • App sandbox — data is stored only within the iOS app sandbox and is not accessible to other apps.
  • Device encryption — iOS Data Protection defaults apply to all files.
  • No network transfer — parking locations and photos are never transmitted to our servers.
  • Least privilege — permissions are requested only when needed.
