These Terms govern the conditions and procedures for using the Opaline app (the "Service") provided by VyxWorks (the "Company"), as well as the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Company and the user.
1. Purpose and scope
These Terms apply to every download, install, and use of the Service through the App Store. By installing or using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
2. The service
Opaline is a themed calendar app for iOS that beautifully displays and manages the calendars already connected to your iPhone.
- Switch the grid, event bars, fonts, and widgets across more than 20 themes
- Display and edit calendars connected through EventKit — such as Apple, iCloud, Google, and Outlook — without any sign-up
- Home-screen widgets and theme-matched lock-screen wallpapers
- Month, week, and day views, monthly notes and goals, and quick-add templates
- Lunar dates and public holidays for users in Korea
3. Accounts
The Service does not require any separate sign-up or account. User data such as app settings and themes is stored locally on your device, while schedules (events) are stored in the calendar accounts you have connected in iOS.
4. Eligibility
- Supported devices: iPhone running iOS 26.1 or later.
- Minimum age: 13 (or the higher legal age required in your country of residence).
- Regions: countries where the app is distributed on the Apple App Store.
5. In-app purchase and refunds
5.1 Products
Opaline's default theme is free. Additional themes are offered as one-time purchases via Apple StoreKit 2, available as single items, theme packs, or All Access. There are no subscriptions.
5.2 Payment processing
The Apple App Store processes all payments; the Company does not access your card or bank account information.
5.3 Refunds
Refunds follow the Apple App Store's refund policy. You can request a refund at the Apple Support page.
5.4 Restore purchases
Use the "Restore Purchases" action in-app to retrieve themes purchased with the same Apple ID.
6. Your responsibilities
- Data backup — the Company does not provide server-side backup. Because schedules are stored in the calendar account you connected (such as iCloud) and app settings are stored on your device, you are responsible for protecting your data through iCloud sync, device backup, and similar means.
- Lost or reset devices — if your device is lost or reset, local app data that has not been synced with a calendar account cannot be recovered.
- Calendar accuracy — the schedules shown depend on the data in the calendar accounts you connected, and lunar-date and public-holiday information is provided for reference only.
7. Intellectual property
- All rights in the Opaline app's source code, UI, design, themes, logo, font usage rights, and documentation belong to the Company or the rightful rights holders.
- User-generated content (UGC) you enter, such as schedules and notes, remains your own, and the Company does not store or use it on its servers.
8. Prohibited conduct
You may not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, copy without authorization, modify, or redistribute the app
- Attempt to bypass in-app purchase or use forged or altered receipts
- Extract or redistribute assets included in the app, such as themes and fonts, without authorization
- Undermine the security of the Service or adversely affect other users' devices
9. Disclaimer
- The Company is not liable for sync delays, errors, or data loss in the third-party calendars you connect (such as iCloud, Google, and Outlook).
- The Service is provided "as-is", and the Company does not warrant fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted operation.
- The Company is not responsible for missed notifications or lost statistics caused by failures of third-party services such as Firebase.
- The Company is not responsible for restrictions on use caused by force majeure such as natural disasters, communication outages, or changes to Apple platform policy.
- The above limitations apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law and do not cover damages caused by the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence.
10. Changes and termination of the service
- The Company may change, add to, or discontinue part or all of the Service upon prior notice.
- Removal of major features or discontinuation of the Service will be announced at least 30 days in advance via in-app notice or on this site.
11. Governing law and disputes
- These Terms are interpreted and enforced under the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- The Seoul Central District Court shall be the court of first instance for any dispute arising from use of the Service.
- However, for users outside Korea, the mandatory laws and consumer-protection regulations of their country may take precedence.
12. Changes to these terms
The Company may amend these Terms within the scope of compliance with applicable law. Amendments will be posted via in-app notice or on this page at least 7 days before the effective date; for material changes that disadvantage users, notice will be given at least 30 days in advance. If you continue to use the Service after such notice, you are deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.
